Arsenal have been urged to consider signing Victor Osimhen and Rafael Leao to boost their chances of securing the Premier League title.
Arsenal’s Title Aspirations
Despite being transformed into genuine title contenders under Mikel Arteta, Arsenal have struggled to surpass Manchester City in the league. For two consecutive seasons, they relinquished leads at the top of the table, finishing as runners-up. The club is now determined to bridge the gap and finally claim the crown.
What Arsenal Are Missing
Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit believes that the current squad still lacks the depth needed to secure major trophies. He suggests that signing Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, and AC Milan winger Rafael Leao could be the game-changers. While Osimhen has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Leao’s future at Milan appears uncertain due to reported tensions.
Petit’s Thoughts
“My dream signings for Arsenal would be Victor Osimhen and Rafael Leao,” Petit shared with Casino Hawks. “Arsenal need a striker like Osimhen, and Leao would be an excellent rotational option alongside Gabriel Martinelli, creating healthy competition. I’ve always said Arsenal lack the squad depth that other top teams have, and these two players could elevate them to the next level. They would make Arsenal serious contenders in both the Premier League and Champions League under Mikel Arteta.”
Arsenal’s Next Challenge
Currently trailing the Premier League leaders by nine points, Arsenal will be keen to avoid further setbacks. They face Nottingham Forest in a crucial match this Saturday, aiming to keep their title hopes alive.
