Harry Kane reached a major milestone in Bayern Munich’s 3-0 win over Augsburg on Friday, scoring his 48th, 49th, and 50th Bundesliga goals. His achievement makes him the fastest player in Bundesliga history to reach the half-century mark, completing the feat in just 43 appearances.
Though Kane has yet to win a major trophy since his summer 2023 move to Bayern, his goalscoring form has been exceptional. Kane’s incredible scoring rate has helped Bayern Munich maintain an eight-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga table, with RB Leipzig in second place. However, Bayer Leverkusen, last season’s champions, have struggled to keep up, drawing half of their first 10 fixtures.
Despite his individual success, Kane has faced criticism this season, particularly after Bayern’s draw with Leverkusen and a surprising Champions League defeat to Aston Villa. The 31-year-old was singled out by the German media for his perceived lack of impact in these high-profile matches.
