Former Kentucky Wildcats linebacker Jamin Davis has found a new NFL home by re-signing with the New York Jets. Davis, who joined the Jets off waivers on December 31, 2024, after stints with the Washington Commanders, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings, played nine games last season between Washington and Minnesota, recording 18 tackles and one sack.
Davis began his professional career with the Washington Football Team (now Commanders) as a first-round pick (19th overall) in the 2021 NFL Draft. He played 54 games over four seasons with Washington, totaling 287 tackles, eight sacks, and one interception. In October 2024, he was released by the Commanders and subsequently joined the Packers’ practice squad. He later signed with the Vikings before returning to the Jets.
Davis’s journey highlights his resilience and adaptability as he continues to contribute to NFL teams since his collegiate career at the University of Kentucky.
