Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has returned to the club after sustaining a “suspected concussion” during Brazil’s 2-1 win over Colombia in a World Cup qualifier on March 20, 2025. The injury occurred in the 78th minute following a collision with Colombia defender Davinson Sanchez.
Alisson was substituted as a precaution and has since left Brazil’s camp to return to Liverpool for further assessment and recovery. Brazil’s team doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, confirmed that Alisson showed no signs of dizziness, memory loss, or fainting but was replaced due to minor complaints and the potential risk of concussion.
The 32-year-old will miss Brazil’s upcoming World Cup qualifier against Argentina on March 25 but is expected to be available for Liverpool’s next Premier League match against Everton on April 2. This news comes as a relief for Liverpool, who are currently leading the Premier League by 12 points with nine games remaining.
